Michael J. O’Shee has represented major natural gas pipeline companies, business entities, municipalities, insurance companies and one of the nation’s largest telephone / communications corporations in acquisition of property rights through expropriation. Michael concentrates his practice on complex trial and appellate litigation matters in state and federal courts. He has substantial experience in expropriation actions, employment litigation, class actions, tort and contract claims.

Representative Matters
  • Routinely handles federal and state appellate matters, property rights litigation, employment law, expropriation, class action and tort litigation.
  • Acted as primary trial counsel for major, nationwide communications company’s multi-year fiber optic expropriation project traversing the entire state of Louisiana (east/west), and affecting properties held by thousands of individual landowners, as well as properties of businesses, trusts, and governmental entities including State agencies, municipalities, parishes, and educational institutions.
  • Acted as trial and appeal counsel for interstate and intrastate natural gas companies in expropriation matters throughout Louisiana.
